AnimusAnima is a workshop programme open to the public that stems from the desire to spark collective reflection on the themes of otherness and self-determination, with a particular focus on the dimensions of masculinity and femininity.

In order to understand reality, human beings have had to divide it up according to specific parameters and create categories of belonging that could include everything. Although a valuable tool, this division is fallible because it is incapable of grasping nature in all its complexity.

In the specific case of the macro-category “male and female”, the risk is that of attributing certain characteristics to an individual solely on the basis of the group to which they belong, without considering their natural aptitudes. Each of us is, in fact, a repository of countless qualities that can be both “masculine” and “feminine”, and whose unique combination makes us similar and yet very different beings.

These qualities, which are qualities of our soul, are the focus of this journey, which responds to a desire to seek and experience new relationships with the Other, blurring, through a game of exchange and mirrors, definitions that are too rigid in order to have the opportunity to get to know ourselves again.
